Jim has 20 years of experience working within the fields of education and human services. He received his bachelor’s degree in English from Washington State University and his master’s degree in teaching from the University of Alaska. His strengths include designing and teaching experiential curriculum that is practical and focuses on the needs, abilities, and interests of his students. He believes that internships provide powerful tools for learning and self-discovery. His counseling methods are designed to help students discover their own values, skills and aptitudes that will help them move towards a successful and fulfilling career.

As an internship coordinator, he enjoys helping students discover their passion for real world experiences. In his free time, Jim likes to ride his Harley and do home improvement projects. He also likes to go to garage sales on the weekend and spend time playing with his granddaughter.
